ROAD ADMINISTRATION

The Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) is a corporate body that was established in terms of the Road Act (Chapter 13:18). The body was established in 2002 in line with Government’s commitment to prioritize the enhancement of a good road network system throughout the country. The mandate of ZINARA is to fix, collect, disburse road user charges and mobilize revenue for roads development and maintenance. It also encompasses the monitoring of such funds that would have been disbursed for road maintenance to road authorities.

Our Services

Vehicle Licensing

Collection of  licensing fees on all vehicles using the public roads.

Tolling

Provides for the charging, levying and collection of tolls for road maintenance.

Cross Border Movement
(Transit)

Setting fee schedules for collection of transit fees for both foreign registered and public service vehicles.

Abnormal Load & Axle Overload

Abnormal Loads are registered through ZINARA to be granted the route to use

Fuel Levy

Fuel levy is charged per litre for both Diesel and Petrol.

Bridge Toll
(NLB)

The fees are charged for use of the New Limpopo Bridge (NLB) at Beitbridge port of entry

Disbursements

ZINARA makes periodic and routine maintenance disbursements to Road Authorities

Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitoring and Evaluating Roads for routine maintenance.

ZBC Radio Licensing

ZINARA as an agent of ZBC collects ZBC Radio Licenses for motor vehicles on their behalf.
