RISK AND LOSS CONTROL OFFICER: SECURITY & INTELLIGENCE (Bulawayo)

Purpose of the Job

This position exists to lead in the maintenance of a safe and secure environment for employees, clients and protection of all ZINARA assets from loss or damage through physical security, intelligence operations, electronic security monitoring and access control management as well as joint enforcement operations with law enforcement and other government security agencies in line with the ZINARA Risk Management and Loss Control function’s Mandate. The position reports to the Risk and Loss Control Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assists the Risk & Loss Control Manager in the development and review of corporate security risk management policies, strategies, standards, and guidelines to ensure protection and preservation of all organisational assets and minimise the cost of assets insurance.
  2. Conducts periodic security surveys/assessments across the organisation to ensure that security processes and systems remain relevant and effective.
  3. Identifies security system and process weaknesses and failures and recommend immediate corrective action to senior management.
  4. Designs and communicates clear and simplified operating instructions to contracted security service companies, deployed police officers and review as necessary.
  5. Carries out random checks on deployed police and security guards both during the day and during the night to monitor alertness and to check compliance to stipulated deployment instructions and times to maximise security of assets.
  6. Works closely with other industry and government security players to curb leakages and stay up to date with emerging criminal intelligence and risk trends.
  7. Recommends appropriate intelligence gathering skills and methods for the risk function.
  8. Implements risk and intelligence driven operational strategies to minimise revenue leakages and recover lost revenue
  9. Implements measures to ensure that syndicate related crimes are identified through efficient and effective Intelligence.
  10. Directs all matters relating to CCTV monitoring and access control system at all ZINARA workstations across the country and at the CCTV Control Centre.
  11. Develops and enforces security systems, policies and procedures (SOPs) necessary for monitoring of CCTVs and management of access control system.
  12. Conducts and monitors employees’ appraisals, identifying performance discrepancy and make appropriate recommendations for improvement.
  13. Provides input to the departmental budget formulation and ensure the efficient use of budgets.
  14. Designs and implements security training and awareness programs across the organisation.
  15. Participates in internal disciplinary and court procedures.
  16. Submits regular and ad-hoc security risk reports to senior management.

 

Qualifications and Experience
  1. Minimum of 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and Mathematics
  2. Advanced level passes are an added advantage.
  3. Relevant Bachelor`s Degree in Security Risk Management/Policing/Intelligence or equivalent.
  4. Possession of an industry standard certification such as: CSMP/PSP/CPP/CPO/CFE/CIA/CIO or similar is a distinct advantage.
  5. Membership of a recognized and relevant professional body is an added advantage
  6. Clean class 4 driver’s license
  7. A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in a security environment.
  8. Demonstrable experience in corporate security/ intelligence or law enforcement environment is preferred.

Business Systems Support Specialist

Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, assists in all business matters of the CEO, from business analysis, rapid execution to strategic planning, and proactively following up on internal & external meetings. The incumbent will measure and analyse ZINARA’s performance and its evolution by synthesizing information through accurate performance dashboards and Key Performance Indicators tracking for all ZINARA key business processes with subsequent comments and recommendations thus allowing the Chief Executive Officer to make informed business decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Collecting relevant business data regarding organisational performance and constructing innovative ideas to improve business processes

  4. Monitor and Evaluate ZINARA programs and projects as a road fund manager

Purpose of the Job

The Contract Specialist plays a critical role for the organization to direct and oversee contracts throughout their lifecycle, serving as the liaison between companies, employees, customers, vendors, and independent contractors. Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develops and implements contract management procedures and policies.
  2. Maintaining and updating contractual records and contractual correspondences.
  3. Implements the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23) in respect of Contract Administration.
  4. Advises on contracts management functions for all the major projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  5. Negotiates, drafts, and administrates contracts towards increasing revenue for the company.
  6. Initiates, manages and defends claims arising from contracts and on projects undertaken by the organisation.
  7. Ensures full legislative & regulatory compliance of company contracts to avoid cost escalations and penalties due to non-compliance.
  8. Briefs and evaluates performance of suppliers, contractors and service providers.
  9. Creates and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers
  10. Monitors contracts and moving forward with close-out, extension, or renewal of contracts
  11. Communicates and presents information to stakeholders regarding contracts.
  12. Prepares periodic procurement reports and statistics for onwards submission to PRAZ.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the job is to ensure all ZINARA Business Systems are working properly.   2. Administration of SAP, Pastel, Belina, Domain and Exchange Systems.
  3. Follow up on system upgrades and maintenance work carried out on all ZINARA systems to provide a correct picture on the prevailing situation as and when required.
  4. Configure the ZINARA server environment for all business systems.
  5. Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware and software upgrades relating to server and network equipment as assigned.
  6. Monitor and maintain system standard to ensure compliance with IT policies.
  7. Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures for all applicable systems.
  8. Receive, prioritize, and respond to incoming work orders, calls, and or emails regarding equipment and or connectivity problems.
  9. Attend to Helpdesk issues in a timely manner
  10. Monitor that all networks are configured correctly to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulling organisational objectives and processes.
