IS PROJECT COORDINATOR

Purpose of the Job

The IS projects coordinator’s responsibility will coordinate the schedule, budget, issues, and risks of ict projects and information systems. The job is to make sure the project management framework is well-organized and that it runs smoothly. This include communicating with various departments in the organization to make sure everyone is on the same page and well informed in reference to the project implimentation and status.

The position reports to the Systems Development Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring projects progress and creating project status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
  2. Assisting with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks.
  3. Scheduling stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication between the project manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
  4. Managing project management documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule or scope statement, as directed by the project manager.
  5. Support team members when implementing risk management strategies.
  6. Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement.
  7. Develop and maintain project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones.
  8. Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output.
  9. Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels and escalate issues according to project work plan.
  10. Track and monitor change requests and prioritization on all Information Systems projects.
  11. Serve as point of communication between company teams and external resources.
  12. Deepen partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors and researchers.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5 Ordinary levels including Mathematics and Englis
  • 2 A ‘Level passes
  • Degree  in Business Studies and Computing Science/ Business Management and Information Technology / Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related field
  • Project management certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), project management professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or similar is an added advantage
  • 2-year relevant working experience
