THE Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) has cleared its US$206 million debt with the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), a development expected to improve the country’s prospects of securing fresh external financing for road rehabilitation.
The debt clearance was announced at ZINARA’s 10th Annual General Meeting in Harare on Tuesday, with the roads administrator now pursuing alternative credit lines and international funding models to complement domestic resources.
